Local Notifications Demo

This sample file introduces the use of Local Notifications (LN's). Numerous considerations associated with the use of LN's have been scripted for your convenience and are outlined below. Please recall this function is currently compatible with iOS devices running FMGo v17-19.

Caveats

• LN's can only be updated (or reset when expired) when the host file is open either in the foreground or background.
• Attached alert files including photos, pdf's, sound files, etc. can only be experienced when your app is in the foreground.

There are also many details within each layout including script triggering, and suggested field and object styling.

Many of the script details are commented and the user should have familiarity with Filemaker Pro and its scripting capabilities.

Other great features worth exploring and that increase the LN functionality include iBeacon and Geofencing.
